By accessing and using PoolBoi ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use this Service.

2. Description of Service

PoolBoi is an AI-powered pool and spa maintenance assistant that analyzes water chemistry test strips, provides chemical balancing recommendations, and helps you manage a maintenance schedule for your pool or spa.

PoolBoi is currently operating as a free beta. During this phase, all features are provided at no cost. We reserve the right to introduce a paid subscription model in the future, with advance notice to existing users.

3. AI Analysis Disclaimer — Important

PoolBoi uses artificial intelligence to analyze pool test strip images and provide water chemistry recommendations. By using the AI analysis features, you acknowledge and agree:

• •AI-generated recommendations are for informational and general guidance purposes only. They do not constitute professional pool service advice.
• •PoolBoi is not a licensed pool service contractor, chemical technician, or professional water treatment specialist.
• •AI analysis may be inaccurate due to image quality, lighting conditions, test strip variations, or model limitations.
• •Pool and spa chemistry directly affects the safety of swimmers and the condition of your equipment. Always apply your own judgment and consult a licensed pool professional for important decisions.
• •We are not liable for any property damage, equipment failure, personal injury, illness, or adverse outcome resulting from following AI-generated recommendations.
• •Chemical dosage calculations are estimates based on the pool volume you provide. Actual requirements may vary.
• •Always follow manufacturer instructions on all pool chemicals and consult a professional before performing any major chemical treatment.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for your account and all activity that occurs under it. You agree to:

• •Provide accurate information when creating your account.
• •Keep your password secure and not share account access.
• •Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• •Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
• •Not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service or its AI systems.

5. Image Uploads

PoolBoi allows you to upload photos of pool test strips for AI analysis. By uploading images, you confirm that:

• •You have the right to upload and submit the image for processing.
• •You understand the image will be transmitted to a third-party AI provider for analysis.
• •Images may be stored in our database associated with your account and test history.

6. Push Notifications

If you enable push notifications, PoolBoi will send reminders related to your pool maintenance schedule (such as shock treatments or filter cleaning). You may disable notifications at any time from the Settings page or your device settings. We will not send marketing or promotional push notifications without your consent.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, software, and features of PoolBoi — including the PoolBoi name, logo, and AI prompt systems — are the property of PoolBoi or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reproduce any part of the Service without express written permission.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Data Retention

We retain your account information, pool profiles, test history, and maintenance schedules for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page, which will permanently remove your data from our systems.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PoolBoi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from:

• •Your access to or inability to access or use the Service.
• •Any reliance on AI-generated analysis, recommendations, or chemical dosage calculations.
• •Pool or spa damage, equipment failure, or personal injury arising from following Service recommendations.
• •Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your account or content.
• •Any conduct or content of any third party accessed through the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time. We are not liable for any downtime, data loss, or service interruption.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, for any reason including breach of these Terms or misuse of the Service. You may also delete your account at any time from Settings.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide reasonable notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
